The Clinic team have enjoyed celebrating Easter and they send greetings to all Mission Rwentobo supporters at this wonderful time of thanksgiving for our risen Lord Jesus.

Thanks to the money raised as a result of the TBC Christmas card appeal, a policy has been agreed to enable the clinic to provide discounted antenatal care and deliveries of babies to those women who are not covered by the health insurance scheme. The lower photo shows one of the ladies who is benefitting from this scheme being scanned by midwife Damary. Meanwhile, the busy weekly immunisation clinic continues with Shafrah vaccinating the babies above.
The clinic team is working hard to increase the uptake of the health insurance scheme and to raise awareness of the services provided by the clinic. A new insurance group of around 15 families has recently been set up and they will start to receive discounted care in May. Mission Rwentobo have also agreed to sponsor the insurance premiums for another group of very poor families so that they can then access heavily discounted care at the clinic, giving them hope instead of fear when family members become acutely unwell.

We are planning a mission trip to support and encourage the clinic team and visit Kisiizi Hospital in October this year. Between seven and nine adults will be accompanied by three teenagers: Josie, Carys and Noah, who will also be visiting and helping at schools in the area . A Go Fund Me page has been set up by Noah to raise funds to help towards the costs of flights and accommodation for the three of them:
Please do consider supporting them if you are able to.
There will also be a fund raising gig at The Market House in Tonbridge on Friday 26th June from 7.30pm to 10ish when professional musician, Stuart Burke, along with Noah and musical friends, will be performing a variety of pop and funk classics, so please save the date and come and join us for a special evening of entertainment. Admission is free of charge but donations towards the funds required for the three teenagers to join the mission trip will be much appreciated.

At the end of February, Nurse Martha, friends and family, including most of the clinic team, celebrated a traditional Giveaway ceremony as she joined her husband, Kenneth, in marriage. A truly joyful day for all.
I have recently spent some time updating the Mission Rwentobo website, especially the page which describes “Our Story.” www.missionrwentobo.org
Do have a look when you get the opportunity and let me know if you have any comments or suggestions about future additions. All mail chimp updates. like this one, are added to the blog page.
We have also changed our donation platform from Just Giving to Kind Link as shown on the donation link below. Please contact Mike Seaman, our treasurer, as below if you prefer to donate directly to our charity bank account. Thank you.
Finally, I join the clinic team and the Rwentobo community in thanking all Mission Rwentobo supporters for your prayers and donations which enable Hope Community Clinic to demonstrate God’s love and compassion for the rural poor.
